Children’s Ministry

Vinings United Methodist Church understands that children are an important part of the congregation. The Grow ministry at Vinings UMC is a safe and loving environment for children, infants through 5th grade, to learn about God and begin their lifelong Christian journey. Through Sunday School and other special events, like Mission and Outreach Ministries, children are taught the basics of the Bible and Christian living.

Youth Ministry

The Vinings UMC Breakfast Club ministers to middle school and high school students with outreach continuing throughout their college years. They meet in Hodge Hall regularly to share in worship, study and have fun. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of experiences that build faith and strengthen their relationships with God, family, community and each other.  Children and youth, known as “Leaders of Today” are encouraged to lead worship on the last Sunday of every month.

As graduated high school students head off to college, the College Ministry Team reaches out to keep them connected to their home church.  Letters in the mail, emails, texts, and Facebook messages are sent throughout the year to let students know that they are loved, supported and still an important part of the Vinings UMC church family.
